Mark with Democrat Politicians
Believe it or not, you can talk to politicians that don’t share the same views as you about things other than politics. I attended events for Adam Clayton Powell IV’s campaign for Congress when he was looking to replace the retiring Charles Rangel. I met both of them at Adam’s birthday party but instead of taking a photo in between the 2 of them I decided to get a photo of that very impressive looking cake. The Congressional district in Harlem was not going to be won by a Republican and I volunteered for a charity that helped kids with metal illnesses in Washington Heights in the district and maybe some of the people at the events would be willing to help out. If a Republican wasn’t going to win, I figured I’d support a good guy that was trying to make a difference despite the fact that he doesn’t belong to the same party as me.
The other photos from top to bottom are me and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, and former Brooklyn borough president Marty Markowitz. I met Eric Adams at a charity event for operation warrior wellness which helps veterans with mental health issues. I met Ruben Diaz on numerous occasions as he attended several events that were affiliated with Bronxnet TV where I won numerous awards for my sports TV show Real Fans Real Talk. I met Marty Markowitz at a Brooklyn Cyclones game in the skybox and we didn’t talk about politics. We talked about baseball. I know when it comes to politics sometimes people get very emotional, but there’s no reason that we can’t get along as people. Even if we disagree with each other’s political views.
